    AMR operates recycling facilities in Kansas and Missouri. Our processing capabilities include an automobile shredder, balers, shears, mobile shearing, torch processing, auto crushers, and extensive transportation services.     Responsibilities

    We are looking for pro-active and passionate teammates to join our St. Joe team in a Kiosk Operator role.

    Position Overview:

    1. Weigh Non Ferrous material and input transaction “in-house” system.
    2. Properly identify Non Ferrous metals
    3. Responsible for following all legal requirements on purchasing non-ferrous materials. These requirements include and are not limited to; check ID, take pictures of seller, record vehicle information, etc.
    4. Interact with employees on other scales in order to verify/restrict duplication of purchases.
    5. Ensure metals that are purchased are correct & properly classified.
    6. Print Non Ferrous tickets for customers to receive payment for materials sold.
    7. Educating our customers on the procedures, regulations, and types of non-ferrous metals
    8. May assist other craft workers as needed
    9. Other duties as assigned.

    Qualifications

    • Ability to work in a fast-paced, non-stop environment.  
    • 1 year previous general labor or customer service experience preferred.
    • Ability to frequently lift heavy materials and work standing or walking for up to 12 hours per day.
    • Ability to work flexible hours including overtime, evenings and weekends in an industrial environment in which includes being outdoors in all-weather climates / conditions.
    • Ability to understand and carry out written and oral instructions
    • Ability to work on a touch screen computer.
    • Ability to meet attendance schedule with dependability and consistency.
    • Ability to operate essential equipment (forklift, bobcat, etc.)
    • Bi-Lingual English and Spanish speaker preferred.
