    AMR operates recycling facilities in Kansas and Missouri. Our processing capabilities include an automobile shredder, balers, shears, mobile shearing, torch processing, auto crushers, and extensive transportation services.     Responsibilities

    Advantage Metals Recycling, LLC, has an exciting opportunity as a Baler Operator (2nd Shift position) for our Sedalia Location. The successful candidate will be a self-starter with excellent communications skills. The hours for this position are 1:00 pm – 9:30 pm, M-F.

    • Works as on-site support for large industrial customer
    • Operate Harris 220 baler and other equipment as necessary- material handler, forklifts, etc.
    • Properly follow company and OSHA procedures
    • Follow policies and procedures of customer (Maxion wheels) as applicable
    • Effectively communicates with customer and responds to requests/needs
    • Shares relevant information between AMR and customer concerning production or scheduling changes
    • Perform daily inspections on equipment and report any defects or needed repairs to supervisor
    • Clean equipment as needed
    • Other duties as assigned

    Qualifications

    1. Demonstrate ability to be a self-starter, work at off-site locations with little supervision.
    2. Ability to interact with customer management professionally.
    3. Knowledge of equipment operating principles.
    4. Ability to operate safely in tight industrial plant spaces.
    5. Ability to operate equipment under varying working conditions.
    6. Working knowledge of hazards and safety precautions common to equipment operations.
    7. Ability to understand and carry out written and oral instructions.
    8. Demonstrate ability to meet attendance schedule with dependability and consistency.
    9. Forklift certification a plus.

    This position is eligible for shift differential of $1.50 per hour
